I took Animation 1 my junior year at Bowie highschool. The teacher, Mr.Nourse, is awesome and loves what he does and is an artist in addition to a teacher (he also has a website which I will link at the bottom). We started with traditional, drawn animation and got to learn how to use light boxes. We moved onto Adobe Photoshop, of which I already knew a little about because I took D.I.M sophmore year. We quickly moved onto Adobe Flash, which is by far my favorite program we used, and learned many important skills for computer animators. Later in the year we learn how to use Mudbox and Maya, which are both very fun programs to use. And finally we learned how to use Adobe After Effects and made a few short videos, one of which being stop motion. Over all, Animation 1 was a great class and I highly reccomend anyone who is interested to sign up for it!
